As I mentioned in my first post, I used to be a skeptic. I'm not going to go into the details of why, but the fact is that I was.
One day, I went to my best friend's house and spent the night, but the only way to do this was too go to his church the very next day since it was close to where I lived and my parents could easily pick me up. As soon as I stepped into the lobby of the church, I just felt this presence. The real presence of a REAL GOD. It was like a door opened up in my mind and I knew that God existed.
After my first day at the church, I begged my parents to take me back there, but it was about a month before they would actually take me back. I've believed ever since. There's far much more to this story, but I think I'll just share it over time. It gets personal, so if you want to hear the rest of it, just email at wvpspdude@gmail.com and I'll respond with my story.
My blog is about living a teenage life while trying to stay true to God. I'll be doing Christian posts and I'll also be giving posts on personal stories and experiences. I feel that I was meant to do this, so I hope that you like what I'm doing. You can subscribe by following the instructions on the right side of the page.

Afraid of or Embarrassed by? The question that touches my mind.
This is my first post. I hope you like it.
A couple of months ago I was watching a TV series called Naruto Shippuden. There's the English version that airs over here, and the Japanese version with English subtitles is available online. I was watching the Japanese version online, and when one of the characters dies, they say, "Let us bow our heads and pray."
A few weeks later, the American version airs and the same thing with the character dying happens, but this time they say, "Let us pay our respects." This caught my attention as soon as I heard it.
I started going over possibilities in my mind of why it would be like that. The translation couldn't have been messed up because it was already translated for the subtitles under the Japanese version. Only three possibilities came to mind.
1. America is embarrassed by God.
2. America is afraid of God.
3. A combination of both.
I know what you're thinking. Why would a Christian nation such as America be afraid of or embarrassed by God? Well, many people don't believe that we're a Christian nation anymore. And I have a complete theory that people that don't believe in God also fear Him.
When I was a skeptic I feared the thought of God. (If you want to see my story about how I came to God, find the post that will most likely be posted right after this.) I absolutely feared the idea of Him. I also found out that other nonbelievers feared the thought of God as well.
I'm not saying all of America is afraid of God, but the people that try to jam into our minds do fear Him. Our Government officials.
I could go on and on about this, but I have no fancy to start a political debate. In short, it's time for America to come out of the shadows and realize God is the right and only path to follow. Whether it be embarrassment or fear, everyone knows He's watching, even skeptics and nonbelievers.
